Task Alerting Systems

Remove all manual handover from one team member to the next with automations that alert team members when new work is ready to be completed or checked

Slack DM

continues

Outcome

Owner opens the record and works

What it is

A status change hands the work to the next person automatically, with everything they need attached.

You need this if handovers happen only when someone remembers to message someone else, leaving work finished but unnoticed for hours or days, several times per item.

If your team is already good at flagging, the alert still wins on context, because nobody has to go and find the brief and the gap between "notified" and "working" collapses.

The actual build

Task Alerting Systems — the as-built system.

What it does for you

01

Work reaches the next person the moment it's ready

so finished items stop sitting idle waiting to be noticed.

02

The alert carries the context

so nobody spends ten minutes finding the brief before they can start.

03

Per-person channel sprawl gets replaced with a couple of channels

which is what makes the alerts get read at all.

Built and running

it feels like a lot of stress is lifted off the shoulder relative to having to micromanage people.
