What it is
Four emails inside the first hour after someone takes your lead magnet: deliver it, introduce yourself, explain why it works, then make the offer.
You need this if your opt-ins get a delivery email and then silence until the weekly newsletter, collecting addresses at peak attention and letting it decay.
Someone who just downloaded a lead magnet doesn't know your business or how you help, and won't look.
If you already run a welcome sequence, the change is compression: an hour converts on a completely different curve to a fortnight.
What it does for you
The lead learns what you do and how you help while they're still reading the thing they downloaded
which is the only window you reliably get.
Four touches in an hour builds name recognition fast
so the next email you send gets opened instead of ignored.
Every magnet you post becomes a direct-response asset
so you find out whether it converts the same day rather than a fortnight later.
How to build it
- Write four short emails: deliver the magnet, introduce who you are and who you help, explain why it works, then present the offer with a low-friction first step
- Trigger on the lead-magnet form, then add four delay branches all measured from that trigger rather than chained off each other, at 0, 20, 40 and 60 minutes
- Keep email 2 to a quick intro covering what you do, who it's for, the problems you solve, one piece of social proof, and a line telling them to watch for the next email
- Ask them in email 2 to whitelist you, so the remaining three land in the inbox
- Use email 3 to explain why people join and why it works, then email 4 to contrast doing it alone against doing it with you
- Hand off to the 30-day flow once the hour is up
